4) Select "cm_treltexx-ota-765ef3442c.zip” file when start a setup.
5) When it finish process,  you reboot your device.
6) process completed.

While this CM13 release is deemed as stable, we still suggest sticking to stock if you are looking for more stable experience. CM13 brings android 6 marshmallow to the Note 4 and there is nothing better than CyanogenMod 13.0 to enjoy android 6.0 on note 4.

If you own a Samsung Galaxy Note 5, you can flash this hack. This will show you the incoming messages as floating window. It does not look like a typical android message and it has options like reply, mark as read and delete. You can also dismiss the message by tapping on the cross icon.

To enable floating messages, download this file on your Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and install it using TWRP custom recovery. Then open “floating messages” and enable it for “messaging”.

You can also set the transparency level here. As you can see, I’ve set it to 48 and it looks absolutely stunning.

Keep in mind that since it makes use of TWRP, you will be voiding your phone’s warranty since it tinkers with internal files. You will also receive no more official updates. On the brighter side, you will be able to install just about any ROM or mods out there.

I’ve tested on Dr Ketan’s Note 5 ROM and it works like a charm.

Samsung released the Galaxy note 1 back in 2011 and it is interesting to note that there is still a plenty of development going for it. Infact, you can download the latest android 7 nougat for it thanks to folks behind Lineage OS that was launched a firmware for it. If you running stock Samsung ROM, follow these steps.

1.flash N7000ZSLR1_N7000OZSLR1_BRI (or any other other 4.1.2) stock rom using odin
2.Copy Rom + Google Apps to your sdcard.
3.flash PhilZ-cwm6-XXLT6-XSA-5.06.1.tar.md5 to get cwm recovery by using odin or mobile odin
4. boot into recovery
5. flash this kernel to get an updated recovery
(this step will make your old rom unbootable stuck in the n7000 screen but you can boot into recovery with press and hold "home" and "volume+" buttons and power on your phone)
6. you need to reboot! your device now to recovery
7. you are now in the updated recovery and you need to do a factory reset + format the /system partition
8. you can now install the rom and gapps and reboot your device.

If you are having problem installing application, we suggest doing a repartition your phone and make more space. Just replace the files used in step 16 with the one we used for cm14/android7.

To enable root on N7000 in this ROM, follow these steps.

1. Go to Settings-About phone and tip 7 times on Build number to enable the Developer options
2. Go to Settings-Developer options-Root access and set it to Apps and ADB

Other honorable mentions include Real Racing 3 which is car racing game with realistic game graphics. The new update brings a ton of new cars and improved gaming engine. Another amazing game is dead trigger 2 which is developed by zombie-killing.

If you heart vanilla software, then you will love the AICP ROM for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100. It is based on lollipop firmware which was actually never released for this Samsung Galaxy Note. Samsung halted all development after releasing official android 4.4.2 for N7100. The developer ported it from another device and made it work with the Note 2 drivers. To flash this AICP ROM, you will need Note 2 TWRP custom recovery and it is also strongly recommended that you fully wipe your device before doing a flash and avoid restoring system applications and data with something like Titanium backup for android phones as that can work against stability for your phone.

Here are the flashing instructions for AICP ROM for the N7100. First download the ROM from here and put it in microSD. Then boot into N7100’s custom recovery and flash the firmware from there. Gapps are absent and must be installed before boot. So flash them after installing ROM.

For flashing the ROM, both TWRP and CWM work. Developer says that until android lollipop, he used to make ROMs that were AOKP but were later changed since folks at AOKP halted all development. He says that if the developers behind make a comeback, he will get back to AOKP but for now, the base has been changed to cyanogenmod.

Qualcomm Snapdragon version of Samsung Galaxy Note 8 can now be rooted. These instructions come from the awesome XDA developers. This method will not trip the Knox counter so the warranty of your android phone will not get void. It is only for the Snapdragon variant and will not work on the Exynos or Chinese models. The root method is pretty much straight forward since the developer has done most of the hard work for you. All you need to do is follow the steps given below. Make sure you have followed all the pre-requisites. One thing to keep in mind though is to make entire backup of the internal as rooting procedure will delete everything stored on it.

Pre-requisites for rooting Samsung Galaxy Note 8

4) Now go to the PIT tab(Click OK or close on the warning box) and click and navigate to the PIT file you also just downloaded and select it.
5) On the OPTIONS tab, you will select the following: Auto Reboot, F. Reset Time, NAND ERASE ALL, and Re-Partition.
6) Once you have everything in place and the correct options selected, press START.
7) ODIN will say FAIL at the end of the flash and the phone will have rebooted to upload mode saying "Unknow Error". Don’t fret however, the system should have still been written!
8) You will have to get the phone back into Download mode( Hold Power, VOL- and bixby together and the phone will reboot to download mode and tell you its in emergency mode. THIS IS NORMAL.) and then proceed to Part 2 Instructions!

Part 2 instructions:

1) Download and Extract the SamFAIL Note 8 Part 2 Firmware Zip to your PC
2) Click Reset in Comsey ODIN or close it out and re-open it so it is COMPLETELY cleared out
3) Now select the firmware. BL goes in BL, AP goes in AP, CP goes in CP, dont press start yet!
4) Now, this time we ARE NOT SELECTING A PIT FILE, We should just select Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time. DO NOT DO NAND ERASE ALL OR YOU WILL HAVE TO START OVER.
5) Once you got the partitions in place and the right options selected, Press Start!
7) Once phone boots up, Setup your device as normal and proceed to the SuperSU app. It may ask you to update the SU Binary. Select Normal method and let it do its thing. Follow its instructions then SU should say it was Successful in updating and it needs to reboot(You may have to do it multiple times. I believe its 2 or 3 times then its good) ENJOY SamFAIL ROOT!

Android 7 Nougat is available for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000 / N8013 2012 model. This is the latest version of android and it is great to see such old tablet running it just fine. This is brought to you by the Lineage OS team that designed it to increase performance and reliability over stock android. However, since the android 7 nougat is still in alpha stage, do not install it if you want a stable ROM.

So how to install this ROM on your tablet?

First make sure you have CWM recovery or N8000 TWRP installed on your Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. Then, download the ROM from here and gapps; wipe everything; put the ROM on micro SD card and install the ROM. Make sure to flash gapps immediately after installing the ROM. Do not reboot before installing gapps.

So what is not working. The stock camera application isn’t working but if you install Google Camera from playstore, you should not have any problems. Cursor is by default shown when S-pen is in use. You can easily disable it by going into Settings > Inputs. Also, keyboard does not work: enable hardware keyboard in settings. SElinux is set to permissive.

An XDA developer user has ported entire ROM of Samsung Galaxy S8+ to Note 5. Supported Note 5 models include N920T/W8, N920CIG, N920CD, N920SKL and N9208. Despite being a third party firmware, everything is working as expected. This is the latest Android Nougat firmware with all security patches. The developer has added in his own mods too that include:

* AOD brightness control (2 state)
* Show/hide Power Menu on Lockscreen
* Enable/Disable Safe Volume Notification
* Show/hide Keyboard Switching Notification Icon
* Battery options
* Some features include enable/disable fingerprint wakeup, persistent notification, notification reply directy on lockscreen

* virtual button option

CSC/OMC collection has been updated and modded for XXV, ATT, TMB, INS, TEL, RWC, XID, KTC, ITV, PHN, DBT, PAK, TUR, BRI, XME, XEF, THL and BTU.

How to install the ROM:

– Download ROM, Kernel, OMC-CSC
– Prepare yourself to not get lost of available aroma options.
– Know well your operator CSC/OMC code. Boot into Note 5 TWRP.
– Install ROM
– Install CSC/OMC and choose right one
– Then install Kernel (because aroma do not support file larger than 2GB).
– Full wipe required.
– If you see kernel is not seandroid enforcing, it is normal because I use new selinux stuffs. Nothing to worry.

Lineage OS 15.1 is available for the Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 which in other words is Android 8.1. The ROM is in alpha stage though but all main functions are working. Being an alpha ROM, there will be bugs.

How to install Android 8 for Galaxy Note 1 N7000:

1. Copy Rom + Google Apps to your sdcard. If you do not have TWRP installed, you need to get it installed first before installing any custom ROM including this one. flash PhilZ-cwm6-XXLT6-XSA-5.06.1.tar.md5 to get cwm recovery by using odin
2. Boot into recovery
3. Factory Reset + Format the /system partition
4. Flash the Rom and Gapps.
5. Reboot

If you want root, follow these steps:

1. Go to Settings-System-About phone and tip 7 times on Build number to enable the Developer options
2. Go to Settings-Developer options-Root access and set it to Apps and ADB

List of bugs:

* If you get asked to instal/fix root/supersu in the recovery select no!
* Some glitches on screen rotation and in screenshots
* Whatsapp videocalls broken
* Usb dialog not working. you can enable mtp mode in the developer settings
* Video playback mostly broken (camera recordings/playback is working)
* With gapps installed there are many fc in the first start wizard. skip every setup part and reboot the device after you see the homescreen.
setup your wifi and google account now.
* Adoptable storage is not working (don’t format your sdcard as internal!)
* Because of the rom size only pico gapps will work

Samsung stopped supporting the Galaxy Note 2 long time back but XDA is still pumping out ROMs and updates for this android phone. XenonHD ROM is now available for the device that brings you latest Android 7 Nougat on it. Samsung may never release Android 9 Pie for the Galaxy Note 9 but XDA team has churned out the latest Android for the smartphone and you can run it now on it.
